What's actually included in each tier?

Basic Wash (£20) covers a two-bucket exterior hand wash, a three-month ceramic sealant, dressed tyres and clean glass. Full Valet (£70) adds decontamination of paint, iron fallout removal, interior vacuum and plastics. Superior Valet (£90) adds your choice of fabric & carpet shampoo or leather clean & condition. Premium (£140+) adds clay bar plus a one-stage machine polish to remove swirl marks. Maintenance Valet is a regular slot for cars that already get cared for.

Ceramic sealant or traditional wax — what's the difference?

Wax sits on the paint and lasts six to eight weeks; ceramic chemically bonds and lasts three months in our standard sealant or up to five years in our coating service. Ceramic also sheds water and salt better — useful in an Edinburgh winter when your car spends nights on a salted street.

How does paint correction actually work?

We use a rotary or DA polisher with graded compounds to gently level the very top of the clearcoat — enough to remove swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation, but never beyond safe thickness. We measure the coat first, work in sections under proper lighting, and finish with a protective ceramic. It is slow, careful work, which is why it's quoted on inspection.

How do I book? Do you take walk-ins?

Booking goes through our Setmore online diary — morningsidevaletingcompany.setmore.com. We do squeeze in walk-ins for Basic Washes when the bay's free, but full valets are pre-booked. Saturday and end-of-month slots fill 7–10 days out.

Where do you cover? Is it only Morningside?

We're fixed-base — you bring the car to the workshop at 14 Springvalley Gardens, EH10 4QG. Most customers walk over from Morningside, Bruntsfield, Marchmont, Newington, Grange and Comiston, but we get cars from across south Edinburgh, the New Town and out to Colinton.
